the 1970&#8217;s, Argentine engine manufacturer Czerweny Motores set up an electronics division to produce calculators. It shut down later, but after the Falkland War of 1982, was reborn as the independent Czerweny Electr\u00f3nica company. It wanted to import Sinclair computers but couldn&#8217;t because Argentina and the United Kingdom did not have diplomatic relations after the war.
