Although the Timex Sinclair 1500 is basically a Timex Sinclair 1000 with 16kB RAM, the ROM differs slightly: it supports TV channel switching by pressing the ‘3’ key upon powering up, it supports the Timex Sinclair 1510 Command Cartridge™ Player natively and there is a For-Next bug in the ROM.
Besides being sold in a cardboard box, it was also offered by the National Education Corporation in the Technical Literacy Series in a briefcase. Some briefcases came with the Timex Sinclair 2020 Computer Program Recorder, others had a generic tape recorder.
